|Dr. Alfreda Love
Dr. Alfreda Emonya Love has enjoyed a fulfilling career as an educational leader, radio host, motivational speaker and military servant beginning in 1997 in Bellmead, Texas. Dr. Love is the recipient of numerous educational and community service awards.
Love has commenced on a new path in which she calls, "Mastering Your Dreams of Educating the Whole Child." Dr. Love has the ability of transforming an oasis into a united stream through her vast knowledge of community relations, public relations, educational relations and most of all leadership relations. She continues to be a dynamic speaker, award-winning playwright, promoter and prolific writer with five published works and is seeking to publish another book.
She devotes her time to various Christian groups, non-profits, civic activities and educational endeavors.
Dr. Love graduated from La Vega High School, Baylor University, Texas A&M University and Prairie View A&M University; served in the United States military; and performed certification work at Dallas Baptist University with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Love indicated that God, her family and community are to be recognized for her achievements.
Dr. Love is the assistant principal at La Vega Elementary and Project Executive Director of Love's Comedy and Entertainment. Dr. Love has been a member of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church for 33 years.
Councilman Gibson is a native of Waco, Texas, and a graduate of Waco High School Class of 1989. Gibson was a model student athlete and used football as a tool to continue his education. He received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of North Texas and earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 1994. Gibson is an employee of Waco ISD and is enrolled in the Alternative Teacher Certification program at McLennan Community College.
Gibson is a firm believer in God, family and community. He and his wife, Launda, have been married for 19 years and are proud parents of five children. Although Gibson is a native Wacoan, his family has resided in Bellmead for almost two decades and his children attend La Vega ISD.
” Working Together Means Winning Together.” Councilman Gibson will lead, represent and be an advocate for the constituents of Precinct 2 and for the citizens of Bellmead. Councilman Gibson is appreciative and thankful to the people that elected him and will serve them to the best of his ability

Phil Bancale is a native of New Jersey. He came to Texas when he decided to join the US Air Force in 1959. Upon completing his tour he decided to make his home in Bellmead. He met and married Lillian Mitchell in 1962 and started his family.
He worked for Safeway as an apprentice meat cutter and was later promoted to Market Manager. His public service started when he was appointed to serve on the first board of the Head Start Program at LaVega School District. After that, he began reading to the elementary school students. He also did special classes for students from his travels in the United States and Europe.
In 1978 he was elected to the LaVega School Board and continues to serve at this time. It has been a great pleasure to serve the students of LaVega ISD.
